Asian-Inspired Asparagus

cooking sprayAbout 12 asparagus spears1.5 tbsp light margarine or butter2 tbsp soy sauce1 tsp balsamic vinegar
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Trim off bottoms of asparagus spears.
Place asparagus in shallow baking sheet.
Spray asparagus with cooking spray.
Bake in 400 degree oven for 12 minutes. (Turn down the heat if you prefer your asparagus firmer).
While the asparagus is cooking, melt your margarine or butter, and mix in the soy sauce and balsamic vinegar.
Upon removing asparagus from oven, pour the sauce over the asparagus.
Enjoy!
Makes two 6-piece servings. (Although you could really make more like 4 servings of asparagus and still use the same amount of sauce).

LOSING4KEEPS
This was really quite good and tasted surprisingly sophisticated considering how quick and easy it was. It got rave reviews from the household, too. The sauce is quite thin (but flavorful) and goes a long way. I doubled the asparagus and there was still sauce left over afterwards. - 4/20/08
