Maple Syrup Spiced Nuts

4 cups raw nuts (any combo of cashews, almonds, walnuts)1/2 c. pure maple syrup1/4 c. honeypat of butter1 tsp. salt1 tsp. black pepper1 tsp cayenne1 tsp. vanilla extract (pure)1/2 tsp. cinnamondash or two of chili powder if you like the zip.
Preheat oven 350. Place nuts on parchment in single layer, roast for 8-10 min. Cool. After cooling, place one cup of nuts in food processer and coarsely chop - should have a mix of ground and chopped nuts. In large skillet, heat syrups, honey, butter, and spices until honey is liquid. Mix in all nut products and stir completely. Spread onto parchment paper on large cookie pan, and place in oven for about 8 - 10. Do not overcook.
