Basic Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
2 T olive oil2 C coarsely chopped yellow onion1/2 C sliced or grated carrots2 cloves garlic minced4 cups tomato sauce1.5 tsp Italian seasoning1 tsp granulated sugarkosher salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
sauté onions garlic, and carrots in olive oil until translucent, add tomato and seasonings, cook for 45 minutes, partially covered. Voila.. you are done! :)
