Jennifer's Slow Cooker Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
1/2 bag dried green split peas, rinsed, drained, and picked over1 small onion or shallot, chopped2 cups Pacific Natural Foods Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth1 cup water2 carrots, peeled and chopped1 celery rib, chopped1/8 teaspoon salt (Himalayan Salt preferred)1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper3 oz. Trader Joe's Turkey Jerkey, chopped
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a 2-3 quart slow cooker and cook on high for 4.5-5 hours or on low for 9-10 hours.
