Ingredients
*Wheat flour, white, bread, enriched, 3.5 cup (remove)*Fleischmann's Yeast (instant dry yeast), 5 tsp (remove)Granulated Sugar, 9 tsp (remove)Salt, 1 tbsp (remove)Water, tap, 1.5 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)*Egg, Large Egg White - 1 egg white, 10 gram(s) (remove)Boiling liquid:3 quarts water1.5 tbsp malt syruptopping of choice (poppy seeds, minced onion or garlic, sesame seeds, salt, mustard seed, etc.)
Directions
Mix ingredients together minus egg whites. Knead 10 minutes. Let rise 1 hour. Cut into 10 round pieces, add hole, let proof for 10 more minutes. Boil for 3-4 minutes in simmering malty water. Dry quickly on a towel and brush with beaten egg white and top with toppings. Bake on greased baking sheet for 25-30 minutes in 400F oven. Flip half way through.
