saute onion in oil. Spice as you would a chili with cumin, oregano, chili powder, liquid smoke. table spoon of tomato paste. add salsa and black beans. spray slow cooker with oil. layer in order chili,Vegan cheese, thin sliced sweet potatoes. I had 3 layers. end with cheese.
