Ingredients
1 Pound Pinto Beans (washed and sifted)12 cups water1 large onion chopped (about 2 cups)1 medium Jalapeno, diced1.5 tsp ground cumin1.5 tsp salt3 tsp minced garlic10 cranks of black pepper from a pepper mill
Directions
Put pinto beans, chopped onion and jalapeno, minced garlic, cumin, salt, black pepper, and water in large crock pot and cook on high for 8-10 hours. Drain excess water and mash beans, add water as needed to attain consistency desired.
