Chicken & Dumplings Slow Cooker (1pt)

Ingredients
* Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove) * Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced (remove) * Roasting Chicken, light meat, 1 unit (yield from 1 lb ready-to-cook (remove) * *Whole Wheat Flour, 0.25 cup (remove) * Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) (remove) * Salt, 1 dash (remove) * Pepper, black, 1 dash (remove) * *Heart Smart Bisquick (mix only), 0.66 cup (remove) * Milk, nonfat, .20 cup (remove) * Paprika, 1 tsp (remove)
Directions
Cook chicken; cut into cubes. Return to broth to boiling in pot. Cook veggies in microwave on high for 5 mins. Combine flour & water until smooth. Add to boiling chicken broth; add enough extra water to make 4 cups of broth, making sure gravy is fairly thick; season with salt & pepper. Combine chicken, veggies & gravy in slow cooker. Mix dumplings as directed on baking mix box; place dumplings on top of chicken in slow cooker. Sprinkle with paprika. Cover & cook on high for 3 hours.

    I made this tonight for my family, and it was pretty good, but i did at mrs. dash to the chicken when i cooked it, to add some flavor. - 6/18/08
