Deb's healthy potato soup with beef

5 pound bag of potatoes, course chopped10 medium carrots, sliced4 stalks of celery, sliced1 medium onion, chopped1 tablespoon garlic, minced1/2 head cabbage, shredded8 cups water8 tsp Knorr chicken flavor bouillon2 cups 2% milk4.5 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded1 tbsp salt1 tbsp pepper1 tbsp garlic, minced1 tbsp worcestershire1 oz butter, salted
saute onion and garlic in butter in a very large pot. Add ground beef and brown with salt, pepper and worcestershire. Add water and bouillon and stir until bouillon is dissolved. Add carrots, celery, potatoes, green onion, and cabbage. Cover and simmer for 45 min stirring occasionally. Add cheese and milk and continue to simmer for 15 min. Enjoy.
