1 cup lentils1/2 cup barley1/2 tsp oregano6 cups chicken (or 6 cups vegetable broth)1/2 tsp cumin1 onion (chopped)1/2 tsp black pepper2 garlic cloves2 carrots (chopped)1/2 cup fresh spinach (chopped)salt (to taste)1 tsp of olive oil
cook onion, garlic, and carrot in oil until onion is soft. Add all other ingredients except the spinach. Bring to boil then turn down the heat to medium. Add a little water if necessary. Cook specified time. eat!
