Fresh cherry pie filling

Ingredients
4 cups pitted cherries1/2 c sugar2 T cornstarch2 t lemon juice1 T I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light (or another light tub margarine)
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until thickened. As you are cooking, it helps to use a potato masher to break up the cherries.
