Ingredients
Directions
6 Yukon potatoes, with skin2 cups water + ice cubes1 tbsp. granulated sugar1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil1 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. onion powder1 tsp. salt1 tsp. paprika
Stir sugar into 2 cups of water with ice cubes.
Slice potatoes to desired thickness, leaving skin on. Place in sugar water for 20-30 minutes. This releases additional liquid in potatoes for a crispier fry. Drain liquid after 20-30 minutes and pat dry well.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees, and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix garlic powder, onion powder, salt, paprika, and oil in a resealing bag. Add potatoes and shake well to coat. Spread coated potatoes in a single layer without potatoes touching on lined baking sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown (cook time varies based on thickness of the fries).
