Prune Puree

14 dried prunes2 1/2 cups boiling water
Place prunes in a bowl and cover with boiling water.
Cover bowl with plastic and let stand 2 hours.
Strain (reserving liquid) and transfer to a food processor.
Puree, adding soaking liquid as necessary to achieve desired consistency (aim for an "apple butter" like puree for baking, if using for infants dilute as needed).
Store in the fridge or portion into 1/4 cup servings and freeze.
