Spiced Apple Oat Scones

Ingredients
1 1/2 c all purpose flour2 c rolled oats1/4 c sugar4 tsp baking powder1 1/2 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp nutmeg1/2 tsp sale1 medium apple, cored and shredded1 egg, beaten1/2 c butter or margarine, melted1/3 c milk
Directions
Mix all dry ingredients together. In separate bowl, whisk egg until frothy, then stir in milk and melted butter.

Toss apple shreds in dry ingredients to coat, then add wet ingredients to dry. Stir to make a soft dough.

Pat out into two 6-7" rounds on a greased cookie sheet. Score each into 6 wedges.

Bake at 425F for 15-18 minutes, until risen and browned. Enjoy warm.
