Homemade Pumpkin Bread with Fresh Pumpkin

2 cups white whole wheat flour1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda1 1/2 tsp cinnamon1 tsp ground ginger1 tsp ground cloves1 tsp nutmeg1 1/2 sticks (3/4 c) butter1 1/2 cups white sugar2 tbsp blackstrap molasses2 large eggs1 cup fresh pumpkin purée
Preheat oven to 325º.
Mix together dry ingredients and set aside.
Cream together butter, sugar and molasses until light and fluffy. Mix in eggs one at a time. Blend in pumpkin.
Add dry ingredients to wet, blend just until mixed.
Pour batter into greased muffin or cake tins. If making muffins, bake for 20-22 minutes; cake will bake for 55-60 minutes.
Serving Size: makes about 24 muffins or 2 8x8 square loaves
