Black Bean soup with Sweet Potato

4 cups water1.5 cups diced sweet potato2 stalks celery, sliced thinly1 medium onion, diced1 cup sliced carrots2 cloves garlic, crushed1 packet knorr vegetable broth1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper1 tsp salt (i used less)1/4 tsp alspice1 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp cumin1 lg can black beans, drained and rinsed well1 medium can diced tomatoes
Start water heating on stove, add all ingredients except tomatoes. When vegetables are tender enough, add tomato and continue to simmer on low until satisfied the flavours are blended enough.
