Veggie Burgers1 can (16 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed½ chopped green bell pepper (can use other color of pepper)½ chopped onion3 gloves garlic chopped1 egg1 tablespoon chili powder1 tablespoon cumin1 teaspoon Thai chili sauce or hot sauce (I use Sriracha)½ cup to 1 cup breadcrumbs or ground oatmealSometimes I add a small zucchini and therefore have to add extra breadcrumbs. I also sometimes add a jalapeno.Mix it all in a food processor as it’s easier. If you don’t have one, make sure you mash your beans and then stir everything together.Make them into patties and either grill them or cook them in an oiled pan. (I use olive oil) I find it easier in a pan as they seem to fall apart on the grill.
