24 oz extra lean ground turkey breast7.5 cups shredded coleslaw mix1.25 cup chopped celery1.25 cup chopped white onion1.25 cup chopped bell pepper.75 cup water1 oz red wine1 head garlic, minced2 tsp fresh ground black pepper16 oz penne pasta
- Brown the turkey breast in the microwave for 3-4 minutes. drain excess fat and liquid, and chop fine. Repeat two times, or until there is no pink showing.
- Turn into a 5 quart slow cooker.
- Add remaining ingredients except pasta and mix well.
- Cook on high setting until cabbage is tender and onions are translucent, about 2 hours.
- While turkey mixture is cooking, prepare pasta according to package directions.
- Add pasta to the turkey mixture just before serving.
Serving Size: makes 8 servings
