Ina Gartner's roasted tomato basil soup

Ingredients
3 lbs roma tomatoes28 oz can peeled plum tomatoes3 yellow onions 6-8 cloves of garlic4 TBS EVOO4 cups fresh basil2 tp fresh thyme1 quart of watertabasco (optional)or red pepper flakes
Directions
cut tomatoes in half, chop onion, peel garlic -- drizzle EVOO over that...roast everything together for 45-60 min at 450 degrees

In pan...add canned tomatoes, and everything you roasted, including the juices, add basil and thyme, and tabasco (optional)
