Cheesy Brat Grits

Ingredients
1/2 cup chopped onion2 cloves garlic, minced1 turkey bratwurst, diced2 cups water1/2 tsp minced fresh rosemary1/4 tsp (kosher) salt1/4 tsp dry mustard1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper1/2 cup dry quick grits1/3 cup 2% sharp cheddar cheese
Directions
Saute chopped onion, garlic, and one turkey bratwurst sausage until sausage is no longer pink. Add the water and bring to a boil. Add the seasonings and grits, cover, reduce heat to low medium and simmer 5-7 minutes. Stir in cheese. Makes 4 1/2-cup servings.

    I make something like this, but i don't add the sausage. I do add butter! My husband LOVES them. Next time I will nix the butter and add some turkey brat. Thanks for the idea! - 6/22/11
