Ingredients
Lentils, green, 2 cupsTomato puree, 1/3 cupsOnion, choppedGarlic bulb, choppedcurry powder, 4 Tblspasfoetida, 2 tsp
Directions
Night before or morning before, put lentils in hot water to soak. Pour out water every few hours, and refill.
Boil lentils for about 5 minutes; they will be very soft and mushy.
Saute the onions and garlic with a bit of the curry powder and asfoetida.
Drain lentils, add tomato puree, spices, and onions/garlic mixture. Stir, simmer briefly to blend, serve.
Yum!
Add some red pepper for heat.
