Ingredients
Directions
3lbs Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast 29 oz Can Tomato Puree 6 oz Can Tomato Paste 1 tsp Salt 3 Green Peppers, cut into thick strips2 medium Onions, cut into thick strips4-8oz Mushrooms, sliced thick1T Italian Seasoning 2 tsp Marjoram4 clove Garlic , crushed and peeled1 tsp Pepper, black 2 Bay Leaves
For the freezer, place all ingredients in a gallon sized ziplock bag, tomatoes first and chicken last. I like to squoosh up the seasonings into the tomatoes before adding the other ingredients.
For the crockpot, take the bag out of the freezer and dump into crockpot on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-5 hours
Or cook in dutch oven in 300 degree oven for 2 - 4 hours (depending on if you let your bag thaw a little first - as it is easier to get out of the bag if you let it thaw some). You can also use the dutch oven on the stove top on a low simmer until chicken is cooked thoroughly.
When the chicken is cooked thoroughly, shred with 2 forks and stir to completely coat in sauce. Serve over past or rice
