Baked Chai Latte Doughnuts with Vanilla Bean Icing

2 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw 1 stick Butter, salted 1.25 cup Granulated Sugar .33 cup Milk, nonfat (skim milk) 2 tsp Vanilla Extract 2 tsp Baking Powder .5 tsp Salt 1 tsp Cinnamon, ground .75 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap 1 serving Chai Tea: Tazo, Chai Spiced Black Tea Latte Concentrate, 120 ml/serving 2.5 cup Flour, white 2.5 cup, unsifted Powdered Sugar 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 tbsp Butter, salted
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F (180 C) and grease 1 or 2 non-stick doughnut pans with oil.
In a large mixing bowl whisk together butter and sugar. Whisk in eggs, 1/2 cup black tea, and milk. Add all other ingredients for doughnuts and stir until well mixed.
Spoon batter into doughnut pan and fill each doughnut to the line. Bake for 15 - 18 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool completely.
Stir together ingredients for icing and spread desired amount on doughnuts. Allow icing to dry before serving.
Serving Size: Makes 16 doughnuts
