Feather's Slow Cooker Lima Beans and Ham

Ingredients
0.5 tsp Garlic powder0.5 tsp Pepper, black0.25 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne3.0 cup, diced Pork, fresh, leg (ham), shank half, separable lean only, cooked, roasted2.0 package (10 oz) Lima beans, immature seeds, frozen, baby, unprepared2.0 cup, chopped Onions, raw3.0 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap8.0 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap0.25 tsp Creole Seasoning
Directions
1. Soak Lima beans in 2 quarts water 8 hours or overnight. 2. Drain beans and place in slow cooker with onions and ham. Pour in 3 cups of water or as needed to cover. Place lid on cooker, set to High and cook for 3 hours. 3. Stir in Creole seasoning, black pepper, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Set cooker to Low and cook until beans and meat are very tender, about 4 more hours. Separate meat from bone. Chop or shred the meat and return to slow cooker. Serving Size: 1.5 cups
