40.0 oz Wegman's Organic Free Range Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts0.13 cup Flour, white1.0 tsp Pepper, black0.5 tsp Garlic powder4.0 tbsp Wellsley Farms Organic Salted Butter6.0 tsp Simply Organic Italian Dressing Mix4.0 fl oz Lemon Juice0.5 cup Chicken stock, home-prepared
Rinse and pat dry chicken
Cut into 4 oz portions if entetaining. If for family, I cut the portions after cooking
Combine flour, garlic powder, and pepper in shallow dish (you may need up to 1/4 cup of flour. I never do.)
Coat chicken pieces with flour mixture
Melt butter (you may not need it all) in a heavy skillet over medium heat.
Brown chicken on each side but do not cook through.
Place browned chicken in crockpot.
Mix together lemon juice, chicken stock, and Italian dressing packet.
Pour over chicken.
Cook on low 4 hours or until done.
