Green Beans, Lebanese Style

Ingredients
2 tbsp Olive Oil 1/2 cup, sliced Onions, raw 1 lb bag Frozen cut green beans1 tsp Garlic powder 1 tsp Cumin, ground1 tsp Cinnamon, ground 1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp group black pepper1-1/2 cups Canned tomatoes (or use a 14.5 oz. can)
Directions
Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and saute for a few minutes. When soft and a bit transparent add the frozen green beans, and the rest of the ingredients and mix together. Cover and heat until bubbly and beans are thawed; remove cover and stir occasionally. Then turn heat to low and let simmer, covered for about 40 minutes or until beans are cooked to your liking.

Traditional Lebanese accompaniments are rice, pita, and plain yogurt.

Serving Size: This recipe makes 3-1/2 cups total. One serving is 1/2 cup.
