Low Carb Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef, extra lean1/2 chicken broth1/2 cup beef broth2 cups cauliflower1 tsp dried rosemary1/2 tsp salt1 tsp black pepper1 tsp steak seasoning1/4 cup chopped onions1 package frozen mixed vegetables
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add cauliflower and cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain, cool and mash. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 2 quart casserole dish. In a large heavy skillet, saute meat and onions until browned on all sides, stirring occasionally. Drain excess fat and return meat mix to pan over medium heat. Pour in beef and chicken bouillon, rosemary, salt, pepper, and steak seasoning. Stir in frozen vegetables. Cook, stirring occasionally, until most of the broth has evaporated. Pour meat mixture into a 2 quart casserole dish. Cover mixture with mashed cauliflower. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until top begins to brown.

    Just ok for me. Not my favorite. I followed the recipe but it seemed like too much pepper and overall not very real flavorful. Won't make this again. - 10/12/15

    I made this last night, really yummy! I had steam in the bag frozen veggies, which I steamed then added to the pan with vegetable broth. Also, subbed the rosemary with italian spices. Next time I might put a sprinkling of grated cheese on top. - 1/7/09

    This is a delicious recipe. I used fresh carrots, sweet potatoes and canned peas instead of frozen veggies. I also changed from ground beef to stew beef. Wonderful! - 8/16/08
