200 gram(s) Coleslaw - Compliments (1/2 bag) or 1 small cabbage head chopped 0.75 cup White Rice, medium grain, not cooked 1 Can Tomatoes - Crushed (Aylmer - 540 ml)0.5 cup Tomato sauce Or beef broth0.5 large Peppers, sweet, red, fresh 0.5 large Onions, raw 1 Lb Ground beef, lean , brownedHerbs , salt and pepper to taste
Saute the beef and onion. Set aside.
Mix tomatoes with broth (or sauce). Add herbs and spices ( basil oregano pepper and cloves). Set aside.
Grease a casserole dish. Layer the ingredients in order: rice, cabbage, pepper, tomato mixture and meat.
Cover and bake at 350F for one hour or until rice is fully cooked
Serving Size: 4
