Cucumber cumin raita

Ingredients
2 c. plain yogurt1 md cucumber, pared and finely chopped1 tsp ground cumin1/2 tsp salt1 sm. jalapeno pepper, crushed
Directions
Seed and slice pepper and crush with mortor and pestle. Add salt and cumin to make a paste. Add a couple teaspoons of yogurt to loosen the paste. Transfer the contents into a medium sized bowl. Peel, pare and chop cucumber into fine pieces. Add to bowl and and the remaining yogurt. Mix well and chill about 15 minutes before serving.

An excellent topping for any rice or meat dish.
