1/2 cup FF Refried Beans 4 tsp Taco Seasoning3 tbsp Taco Sauce Medium1 lb Ground beef, lean5 Flour Tortillas, (approx 7-8" dia) 1/4 cup Reduced Fat Mexican Cheese
Cook ground beef, drain, and add taco seasoning. Set aside and let cool slightly.
Using a 8 or 9" cake pan, layer ingredients starting with one of the tortillas. Then add the beans, followed by another tortilla, then add the seasoned beef and taco sauce, followed by another tortilla. continue to alternate until you are at your last tortilla. Sprinke top with the cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until hot and bubbly.

My husband made this recipe for the first time and I really enjoyed the mexican lasagne. He made it with some modifications. For instance, he used deer meat (lean meat) instead of hamburger. I actually like the mexican lasagne better than itailin. I found it to be more fullfilling in a lighter sense - 1/26/09
