I always buy the beans and tomatoes with no added salt. You could also use Chef Meg's recipe for taco seasoning to lower the amount of sodium. I usually add garlic, onions, more beans and maybe some other veggies. This is a good basic recipe to adjust to suit each person's taste. - 3/8/11

    Incredible!
I used no salt added beans and tomatoes to cut down on sodium. I also added a can of black beans and some onion and green pepper. It was very good and I will make often. - 10/6/19

I'd use a lot more spices: cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. I'd also add onions and maybe one or two much hotter chili peppers. - 2/26/11
