Five Spice Walnuts

Ingredients
3 tsp. margarine or butter1 tsp. Chinese 5 Spice powder1/2 tsp. salt (optional)3 cups walnut halves or pieces
Directions
Melt margarine in a medium saucepan. Stir in the 5 spice powder and sale. Add the walnuts, stirring until nuts are evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 cake pan. Bake in a 300 F oven for 20 minutes, stirring once or twice during the baking. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Finish on paper towels, then store tightly covered when they are completely cool. Makes 3 cups.
