Classic Lasagna

Ingredients
Egg, fresh, 1 medium Part-Skim Ricotta Cheese, 8 oz 2% Lowfat Cottage Cheese, 8 oz Pasta, Lasagna Noodles, 12 oz Mozzarella Cheese, part skim milk, 16 oz Stewed Tomatoes, 8 cup Mushrooms, fresh, 2 cup wholeGround beef, lean, 18 oz (yield from 2 lb pk)
Directions
Boil lasagna noodles, cook ground beef (drain and rinse) - set aside. Put stewed tomatos in pot, sautee mushrooms seperately. Season tomatos with pepper, salt, garlic powder and any other spices you prefer. Add in ground beef and mushrooms and let simmer for about 30 minutes.

Mix Ricotta and Cottage Cheese with one egg, season with preferred seasonings.

Spray baking dish with non-stick spray. Put a little sauce on the bottom (enough to cover). Layer noodles, cheese, sauce and repeat until ending with sauce. Cover lasagna with mozarella cheese.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 covered, uncover and bake for another 25 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and melted.

Pan makes 12 generous servings, serving size is 1/12 of the pan.
