Bakewell Cream Biscuits

4 cup King Arthur 100% Unbleached White Whole Wheat Flour 4 tsp Bakewell cream 2 tsp Baking Soda 1 tsp Salt 0.5 cup Butter, unsalted 1.5 cup Milk, 3.25%
Preheat oven to 475F. Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl. Cut in butter till crumbly. Add milk; stir until moistened. Turn dough out onto floured countertop and pat into a 3/4-inch shape. Cut out biscuits using a cutter. Place on baking sheet. Recipe says greased or parchment-covered; I use plain and it's fine. Brush tops with milk or butter if desired (I don't). Bake for 5 min; turn off oven and leave them inside for another 5-10 min (until tops are golden brown).
