Popcorn balls

Ingredients
1.5 cup Molasses 1.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap 1 cup Granulated Sugar 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract 2 tbsp Butter, salted 6 cup Popcorn, oil-popped
Directions
Bring all ingredients except popcorn to boil, stirring constantly. When syrup gets to soft ball stage (140 candy thermometer, or soft ball when dropped into water), remove from heat. Allow to cool a bit then pour over popcorn. Stir (using wooden spoon) until all popcorn is covered. Coat hands with butter and shape into 3" balls. wrap individually in waxed paper.
