Simple Bean Soup

Ingredients
1.0 tbsp Salt3.0 stalk, large (11"-12" long) Celery, raw2.0 medium (4-1/8" long) Scallions, raw10.0 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap17.0 serving 1 20 Ounce Package Hurst's Ham Been Brand Cajun 15 Bran Soup
Directions
Place the package of beans, the included flavor packet, and the 10 cups of water in a pot large enough to hold these items without overflowing when they boil. Add salt. Cover the pot and bring contents to a boil. Reduce the heat so that the contents stay at a medium low boil. Keep the pot covered! Let the beans boil for a little over 60 minutes, until the have reached the tenderness you would like. Chop and add the celery and scallions when you estimate you have about 10 or 15 minutes left of cooking time. Adding them too soon will make them mushy and disintegrate. Et voilá: soup! Serving Size: .5 cup
