1 16 oz can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed2 T tahini2 t ground cumin1/2 t salt 1/4 -1 clove garlic ( to taste) , crushed or diced3 T lemon juice water
put first 6 ingredients into blender. Add water ( or more lemon juice) as needed to thin.
Serve with veggies, crackers, or pita.
Makes 6 1/3 cup servings

I made this on the fly after reading it yesterday, and although my spices were off (1/4 tsp cumin, 1/4 tsp paprika, dash hot pepper flakes, 2 TBS lemonjuice 1 TBS reserved juice from chickpeas) It was right on the money with thickness of the mixture when it was all done. Great!Will def make again! - 2/2/11
