Simple Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
1 28oz can crushed tomatoes1 14 oz can diced tomatoes, no salt added1 8 oz can tomato sauce, no salt added2 tbsp tomato paste1 tbsp olive oil1 small onion, chopped1 clove garlic, minced1 tbsp basil1 tbsp oregano2 bay leaves1 tsp salt3 tsp sugar (optional)
Directions
Heat a sauce pan over medium heat. Add olive oil. Once heated, add onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent. Add the herbs. Stir.
Add all tomatoes, except tomato paste. Stir. Add salt. Let the sauce come to a simmer. Taste the sauce. If it seems very acidic, add sugar. Add the tomato paste and let simmer for 30 minutes or longer, stirring occasionally.

Serve over your favorite pasta!
