Beef Bulgur Chili

1 lb ground beef1/2 cup dry bulgur wheat2 tsp chili powder2 tsp cumin, ground6 cloves minced/crushed garlic1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper1 tsp salt4 14.5 oz cans red kidney beans1 large onion, diced fine1 large green bell pepper, diced4 stalks celery, diced1 28 oz can crushed or diced tomatoes2 Tbsp hot pepper sauce1 cup salsa verde
Spray inside of slow cooker insert with olive oil spray.
Crumble beef into bottom of slow cooker insert. Sprinkle ground cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, garlic, and bulgur over the beef. Mix well.
Add the kidney beans, onion, bell pepper, celery, tomatoes, hot pepper sauce, and salsa verde. Mix well.
Turn slow cooker setting to "low" and cook for eight to ten hours.
Makes 16 servings.
