Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Stewed Tomatoes

1/2 lb elbow macaroni14 oz can diced stewed tomatoes3/4 cup heavy cream3 cups coarsely grated extra-sharp Cheddar
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cook macaroni as directed, drain.
Toss macaroni with tomatoes, cream, 2 cups cheese, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper in a 2 quart shallow baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
Bake in oven for 45 minutes or until juices are absorbed and top is golden brown.
