Bran Muffin

  • Number of Servings: 48
Ingredients
1 C Crisco3 C Sugar2 C Water4 Eggs2 tsp Salt5 C Flour1 Box All Bran or Bran Buds cereal5 tsp Baking Soda1 qt Butter Milk or Regular Milk
Directions
Melt shortening in boiling water. Mix sugar, eggs, salt in a large bowl. Add shortening mixture. Add all dry ingredients. Add buttermilk. Mix and let stand till cereal is disolved. Stirring a few times. This makes the texture even and the coloring a nice brown. Bake @350 for 20-25. Makes 48 muffins. Serving size equal 1 muffin.
