Brown Rice, Pasta and White Bean Pilaf

Ingredients
1 Tbsp butter2 ounces thin spaghetti broken into 2" pieces1/2 cup chopped yellow onion1/2 cup diced carrots14 oz can chicken broth2 cups instant brown rice15 oz can white kidney beans1/4 cup sliced almonds1 Tbsp soy sauce
Directions
melt butter in medium sauce pan and add the spaghetti, brown for 2 minutes. Add the onion and carrots and saute for 4 minutes. Stir in chicken broth, rice, beans, almonds and soy sauce. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and cook for 20 minutes.
