Double Batch Basic Meatloaf

Ingredients
2 lbs lean ground beef2 cup rolled oats1 large egg8 TB ketchup9 tsp mustard2 tsp Garlic Powder (or more to taste)1 cup chopped onions.5 cup bar b q sauce1 can tomato soup
Directions
makes 16 servings

Combine all ingredients, except only half the can of soup.

Shape into long meatloaf in large baking dish (pan with higher sides) so that the mealoaf has open space around all edges. Shape meatloaf so centre is lower than sides of meatloaf (to hold the sauce)

Pour remaining half a can of soup over top. Loosely cover with foil

Bake in 350 degree oven for approximately 60 to 90 minutes until meat is cooked through - removing foil for last half hour to brown the top and sides

    Instead of one big meat loaf, I divided it into 2 pans to cook. I wrapped one loaf in aluminum foil to freeze since there are just 2 of us. It was very good. DH really liked it. - 2/14/19

    just added some green pepper and some times left over mashed potatoes. Also try salsa and corn chips. - 10/1/08
