Easy Skillet Lasagna

1 pound extra lean ground beef1 onion, chopped1 15 oz. can of reduced salt tomato sauce2 C. water7 garlic cloves, minced1 tbsp. dried basil (more or less to your preference)1 tsp. oregano8 oz. dried pasta1 C. reduced fat or nonfat ricotta cheese3 tbsp. grated Parmesan1 egg
Cook beef and onion in a large skillet over med. high heat until meat is browned. Drain any fat (there shouldn't be much).
Stir in tomato sauce, water, garlic, basil, oregano, and noodles. Heat to boiling, stirring. Reduce heat to low, COVER, and simmer 10 minutes.
While the pasta is simmering, mix together the cheeses, egg, and any salt or pepper you wish to add. Spoon cheese topping in mounds over the pasta mixture and cover and simmer for 15 more minutes.
Ready to serve with a green salad for a quick and easy dinner.
