Italian Sausage and Bean Soup

Ingredients
Italian Sausage, pork, 1lbBeans, great northern, 1 14 oz canChicken Broth, 6 cupsDel Monte Diced Tomatoes, 2 cansGarlic, 3 cloves - chopped roughlyBasil, .5 tbsp medium dry pasta shells, 1 cup
Directions
Brown sausage in a large pot. Drain fat from meat and add garlic. Add chicken broth, tomatoes and beans - heat to a simmer. Add pasta and cook until al dente - serve.

Notes: I usually freeze half of this without the pasta, and add when I reheat the soup.

You can also add a bay leaf if you like that flavor. For more nutritional density, double the beans, add a zucchini or two, and maybe a can of whole peeled or crushed tomatoes.
