Chocolate Shortcake (low sugar)

Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat pastry flour4 T cocoa1/4 t stevia extract (or other sugar substitute to equal 1/3 cup sugar)3 T butter flavored Crisco1/2 c lowfat buttermilk2 T miniature chocolate chips
In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa and stevia.
Cut in Crisco until resembles fine crumbs.
Add buttermilk all at once and stir until just incorporated. Add chips and knead lightly to incorporate.
Press out to a 1/2" thickness on a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam. Cut into 6 pieces. If you prefer, you may roll out and cut as you would biscuits.
Bake 12 minutes at 425°.
Split and serve with fresh strawberries and whipped cream or sugar free whipped topping.
