Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour4 t. baking powder2/4 t. salt1/4 cup sugar6 T. Butter3/4 c. milk1 large egg1 cup dried cranberries.
Directions
mix flour, baking powder, salt, & sugar in one bowl. Add cranberries.

melt butter, let cool. add egg and whisk until emulsified. Add milk. Whisk until the milk is completely blended.

Add wet to dry ingredients. Mix until just blended. Dont over beat.

Using a No. 40 scoop, portion the batter into 20 scones on parchment.

Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned on the bottom and barely brown on the high spots on the top.

    SINce I had to Google this maybe someone else doesn't know... a #40 cookie scoop holds 4 teaspoons. I have an un-numbered scoop that size. - 11/5/12

    Yummy! I think they were a either a bit too buttery for me, or maybe I put a bit too much salt. Very light feeling, I used raisins and walnuts in mine! - 7/17/08
