5 Alarm Chili

1 lb. extra lean ground beef1 onion, chopped2 cloves garlic, minced2 red peppers, seeded & chopped14 oz. can pinto beans, drained28 oz. can diced tomatoes, sodium free1 tsp. oregano1/2 tsp. cumin1/2 tsp. black pepper1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
Brown ground beef in non stick dutch oven or large pot along with onion, garlic and pepper over medium heat until beef is fully cooked. Drain.
Add spices and beans. Stir together for 1 minute.
Add tomatoes and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer on low for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
You can replace the beans with mushrooms if desired or make it vegetarian by replacing the ground beef with 1 chopped red onion and 8 oz chopped mushrooms.
