Creamed Onion Balls

2 15oz jars Holland-Style Whole Onions4 Tbsp Butter room temperature4 Tbsp Flour1 cup milkSalt and pepper to taste
Bring 2 jars of onions and the water they are packed in to a boil.
Drain but reserve water and put aside (keep warm
Combine flour and butter then add to hot pot used to cook onions over medium heat
Create a roux but do not let butter turn brown
Add milk stirring til comes to boil when sauce is slightly thick return drained onions to pot. Gently stir in onions. Add reserved onion water to create enough sauce. Sauce will thicken upon standing.
If preparing in advance:
Be sure to allow onions to come to room temperature before warming. Can be warmed in ether pot or in casserole dish in oven
