Chicken Wild Rice Soup

1 stick butterOnion, carrot, celery1 c. flour8 c. chicken broth3 c. wild rice1 c. heavy cream
melt better, and saute vegetables. Add the flour to the butter mixture. Whisk in the broth. Add wild rice and chicken, you can also add diced ham rather than the chicken. Makes approx. 12 1-cup servings.
